You gotta have friends

Man, I have the best blogging friends in the whole wide world.

In fact, one of them sent me this nifty gift today. Even the envelope was fancy schmancy!

It now occupies a place of honor in my office, on my windowsill.

(Yes, I have a windowsill in my office. My publisher's father, the elder Mr. Lee, used to use this room as his office. He died of a heart attack at his desk, and no one found him for several hours because the door was closed. Now, this office and the one next to it that used to be for our editor both have windows. Can't take a chance like that again, now can we?)

I could only hope to be so creative. And good thing it came today, because tomorrow I'm pretending to be Jason and working at the auction.

Beginning at 5:00 a.m., which means I have to leave my house about 4:00 a.m. or so.

Which also means I'd best be getting to bed.

I like the new headliner...how do you guys do that?! I'm so computer dumb. Sigh

Anyway, I'm guessing Valerie did that for you? It's totally cute. It makes me itch to get out my scrapbooking stuff!

Thanks again Valerie!

Steff, it's not that hard. I used Photoshop to make my header, and then uploaded it into Blogger. It took a little experimentation, but I finally got it.

I think I'm going to find a clock to alter (Valerie does a great job on those, too!)

what is with you people?! how have i made you believe i am some kind of supercraftygoddess or something?

keep believing. :o)

the clock is way supereasy...just get the cheapest one @ WallyWorld, unscrew the back, take off the dome in the front, carefully remove the hands and peel off the face to use as a template. then i glue my few face to the old one, restick, and put everything back.
easy peasy.

Valerie, you qualify as a supercraftygoddess in my book simply because you actually craft - unlike me, who asks for a scrapbook table for Valentine's Day, gets it, and never again wields a pair of scissors.

And now, I've got that song from the Soprano's finale in my head. Thanks so much.
