Brrr!

I know it isn't really this cold here, but it might as well be.

I'm moving, and I haven't even told Jason yet.

I've decided that the least little bit of cold weather is NOT for me. I'm like an 80-year-old man or something - just can't stand to be cold!

When I left my house this morning, it was somewhere around 50 degrees. Now, at roughly 2 p.m., it's fallen to 41 degress, with a wind chill of 34!

It's due to get down to 28 tonight.

It's also been raining for two days, and I'm worried that as the infamous winter-storm-that's-sweeping-the-nation's-midsection approaches, all this water will begin to freeze.

It didn't used to be this bad, 65 lbs. ago. I could hold my own with the best hot-natured folk.

Not any more.

I thought that my body would adjust by this winter, and wouldn't be so temperature sensitive, but I was wrong.

I even went to Wendy's today and had a big hot bowl of chili for lunch. Now I'm trying to figure out what will be the warmest thing I can fix for dinner.

So, my solution to this? I'm off to sunnier climes.

I know that several of you faithful readers live in such sun-drenched locales as SoCal, Arizona, and Miami.

I need recommendations.

I also need a way to convince my extremely hot natured husband to come with me. He's not-so-jokingly talked about moving to Alaska.

Alaska. Where I've never been, but due to its proximity to the North Pole, I would gather it's pretty cold there too.

I almost called into work today so that I wouldn't have to get out. I even dreamt that I overslept until noon.

No dice, though. And it's a good thing I came in, because our GM lost her mother-in-law over the weekend, and she's out today for the service. Leaving me in charge.

I know I should be thankful that this winter hasn't been too bad, and that we only have about six more weeks of this sort of weather to deal with.

My head is telling me that, but my internal thermometer is screaming "Get me out of here!"

I hear ya! I can't stand the cold! As you know, I'm in Miami but would like to leave. It's just too overcrowded here. My brother lives in AZ and I LOVE it there. Seems like we're stuck here till Danny retires though :(

although i'd rather be cold than hot (you can always put on more sweatshirts & cuddle under quilts, but when you're hot, you can't take enough clothes off. without getting arrested), let me just say that moving to California right now would be a mistake. 50degrees was gonna be our high today. OUR HIGH!!! that.ain't.right.

It's been so cold in Arizona the past few days. We lost so many plants to frost last night. It got down in the 20's. I hate to be cold too....it hurts! I'd still say move to AZ! :o)

Ok girls, you've all got me really disappointed! Is there anywhere I can go to escape the cold? This morning, my van doors were frozen almost completely shut!

You need to buy yourself a really nice cozy sweater. I'll bet you can find a darling sweater on sale this time of year!

I bought my self a heavy Nordic sweater and I just love, love, love it!

Donna

It's all about the clothes :o)

Ok, Donna, you're probably right. I don't actually own a sweater right now - the closest I've come is an Old Navy performance fleece shirt.

I have, however, learned about layering. I'm wearing at least two shirts every day now!

And thankfully, I got two scarves for Christmas - one made by my sister, and the other by Anna Marie's babysitter.
