I think I have this super hero stuff figured out.

See, it isn't my fault.

It's society.

(I'm such a good American! I found someone to blame!)

The problem I have with Anna Marie being obsessed with male super heroes is that I don't want her to think that only men can be strong. However, there seems to be a dearth of female heroes in the media these days.

I know what you're thinking - almost all the "action" shows have a female character. That's just the problem. It's just "a" character - a token, if you will. Where are the portrayals of strong women that don't need legions of men to come to their rescue?

That was the great thing about Wonder Woman. She was strong and smart, but also beautiful. And she could take care of herself.

So, if Anna Marie wants a Batman party, I'm not going to fight her about it. Let her have one. Like I said before, the problem isn't hers, it's mine, and now I have figured out the "root cause."

Where is Lynda Carter when we need her?

You might be able to find her flying around in her invisible plane! Seriously though, if you want to introduce her to the wonderful world of Wonder Woman ( I wish I could just twirl around & change my clothes too!), Blockbuster.com has the complete series collection on DVD.

Already on it! We have a Netflix subscription, and the first DVD is scheduled to be at my house when I get home!

Man I loved that invisible jet. I had Wonder Woman Underoos, and my cousin had Super Girl. That worked out well, because she's a blonde and I'm a brunette. I had a record of Wonder Woman stories, and a switchplate cover for my room. It was so cool!

(I also found some Superman Quaker Chewy Granola Bars today. And bought them. I know - I'm only encouraging the male-super hero thing.)

Oh, and you Floridians stay safe, OK?
